With the craziness in my family, I took some time off blogging, right in the middle of the most hyped election of all time. Plenty of blog fodder flying around, so I thought I’d give yall a list of things I wanted to blog about but didn’t have the time for:
- Applebees on Appalachie Parkway gave me food poisoning…
- Barack Obama must have learned early on in “Evil Dictator 101″ that the best way to keep yourself in the mind of people is to plaster your mug all over the place. (no hate mail- not calling him a dictator, but great job getting your mug to every person on the planet.)
- Leave it to Charismatics to label people things before time proves it. I read several places where people were calling Sarah Palin today’s Deborah. (Maybe this Barack will not be a pansy like the Barak of the Hebrew Bible and lead his nation without the help of a Deborah.)
- If I could do anything else for a living, it would be racing cars or dirt bikes. (Thanks Ross for the thought provoking question)
- If John McCain knew how to communicate vision well and inspire others, the race might be a different story.
- It saddens my heart that TONS of college students vote for the guy plastered all over Facebook and really have no idea what he stands for.
- Why I support Amendment 2 in Florida.
- 10 years ago I would have said we were 50 years away from a black president. (I’m glad things like that have started to change quicker than I believed possible.)
- 10 years ago I would have said it was impossible for blatant socialist philosophies to HELP get a person elected.
- I think our Founding Fathers where brilliant and am so glad to live in this nation. (The checks and balances, being a republic and not a true democracy, even the Electoral College- its all brilliant in my opinion.)
As a post script: Tons of people were writing blogs the day after the election. After reading through all of them, Clayton Bell gets my vote for the best one. You can read it by clicking here.
